Why FiberGuard?

Solving a ‘Growing’ Problem

Biodegradable plant shelters are
now an economic option

When smaller tender seedlings and larger grade plants are being planted, they will have competition from pests, wind and weeds. Plant protection is critical to increased survival rates. In areas that are prone to these harsh conditions, adoption of suitable protection techniques is highly desirable. While plant protection is not a new idea, there is an increasing desire in the community for a solution that creates less impact on the environment. A solution that not only ensures successful establishment, but is biodegradable, sustainable, recyclable – and furthermore, 100% NZ made.

This solution is the FiberGuard

The FiberGuard is an innovation designed by Advance Landscape Systems. Made in NZ from recycled pulp-fibre, this plant guard’s point of difference is the intentional design for flexible placement and increased stability. This is enabled firstly by the double stake port system, which answers a pain point for many users of alternative systems which only allow for a single stake. Furthermore, the angled top edge allows for the guard to be inverted allowing more upright placement on hillsides – a simple feature the industry has not seen before. An FDA compliant moisture barrier helps the guard withstand the weather until its job is done. Where plant survival is in question, FiberGuard can provide a new answer.

Protects plants naturally against browsing animals, herbicide sprays and harsh elements.

Provides its own micro-climate to help plants survive and enhance growth.

Manufactured using a tough recycled fibre board that has excellent puncture resistant properties and high bursting strength.

Fast and secure install with its innovative tab and slot design. Has two unique stake ports to ensure guards are locked in place and stable in the wind.
